Stefania Milan's research focuses on cloud protest, code politics and data activism – in the interplay of technologies and society. She is particularly interested in the possibilities of self-organisation, emancipation and autonomy offered by digital technology. Ranga Yogeshwar and Stefania Milan want to weigh up the risks and promises of Big Data. At the same time, they will discuss ways for the future of civic engagement and "data-driven" liberal democracies.
