Numerous studies have shown that city dwellers have an increased risk of developing mental illness. But are all urbanites really affected to an equal degree? And is it possible that cities also have a positive influence on our mental well-being?

Lively neighbourhoods, cultural activities and educational opportunities can play an important role in this context. However, changes are needed to make our urban centres of tomorrow more pleasant to live in and healthier for our mental well-being. Together, we want to find out what mental resources the city has to offer and how we can use them to promote our mental well-being.
