In the opening discussion of this events series, science journalist and physicist Ranga Yogeshwar and computer scientist Iyad Rahwan (Director at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development) will use the concrete example of automated driving as the focus for their talk about the great challenges and questions arising from the development of artificial intelligence. Whereas in former times machines were mere tools, in the future they’ll be able to make ethical decisions. Can artificial intelligence model our lives identically? Or are there limits?
