Working between the worlds

Digital technologies enable the creation of new products and business models. For a long time, many people’s work already has revolved exclusively around data. But the way we work is also undergoing changes: permanent workplaces and working hours are losing importance, as does long-term employment. Highly qualified specialists or digital “assembly line workers” are more and more frequently being hired for only a limited time period. They do their work from anywhere and at any time. Companies employ intelligent information systems to record every task, to analyse processes precisely or to just automate them completely. The digital world of work creates new freedoms but also more pressure and uncertainty. How will and how do we want to work in the future?
