Press Release 9 March 2023

Highlight of the Futurium festival: Charity Concert by the Ukrainian singer Jerry Heil

Futurium will be launching its new thematic focus “Futures of Democracy” with a three-day festival in March 2023 that will include a multifaceted programme of discussions, guided tours and workshops. The first day of the festival on Thursday, March 16, 2023, will be rounded off with a benefit concert starting at 10 p.m. by Ukrainian singer Jerry Heil. Prior to the event, members of the media will have the opportunity to book individual interviews with her on the day of the concert.

Jerry Heil is a singer and TikTok star from Ukraine, where her songs regularly top the charts. She started out as a vlogger, but then quickly became internationally known for her music too. Only recently, in January 2023, she was awarded the public choice award at the EU-funded Music Moves Europe Awards. Her songs – which are sure to give listeners goosebumps – are about the traditions and culture of the Ukrainian people: “Ukrainian music should rightly take a place of honour in the modern global music industry” the artist believes.

The war in Ukraine began more than a year ago. That morning, millions of Ukrainians were woken up by sirens, and since then their lives have changed completely. Since that day, Jerry Heil has been touring Europe using her powerful songs to draw attention to the war in her home country.

On March 16, 2023, she will be a guest at Futurium. Admission for visitors is free of charge. Tickets must be booked in advance, but there might be a few remaining tickets available on site on the night. Book your ticket here.

On March 16, the day of the concert, members of the media will have the opportunity to conduct interviews in English with Jerry Heil between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. To schedule an appointment, please contact Futurium’s Communications Department by March 14, 2023: public.relations@futurium.de
