Exploring AI Future Scenarios
Open Lab Night: AI in Love and Life
Would you let AI fight your rent increase? Would you let it write your love letters? Or tell you if you're really in love? Now imagine that millions of people are doing just that right now. AI is slowly becoming the third wheel in every part of life. What happens when algorithms start shaping our cities, institutions, our identities, everyday decisions and our relationships?

At this Open Lab Night, you'll be immersing yourself into one of two experimental futures. One asks how AI might reshape the future of Berlin in a playful manner. The other explores what happens when AI enters our most intimate relationships.
Test future scenarios. Challenge your assumptions. Debate with strangers. Maybe leave with more questions than answers.
Scenario 1: Futures Kaleidoscope of Berlin
For one evening, you collectively create a shared future of the city of Berlin – with and without artificial intelligence.
You’ll take on a selected role, respond to real-life scenarios, and choose when to use AI and when not. Each decision feeds into a shared, evolving Berlin: a living city simulation that reacts in real time to group decisions.
Should AI enter any domain and optimize at full speed? Should some areas stay simply human, even if they might be slower, messier, or just imperfect?
At the end, two questions remain: Would you like to live in the future you co-created? How can we integrate AI into our lives while protecting our human uniqueness?
Scenario 2: Love, Mediated. The Future of Intimacy
For one evening, you will be part of a psychological experiment testing the human-machine relationship.
Technology promises to eliminate the friction, heartbreak, and vulnerability of relationships, offering tailored AI companions programmed to never disagree with you. But every algorithmic match leaves an unseen ripple effect on our society, our bodies, and our planet. We might lose the essence of human interaction, every time we employ the algorithms.
On this lab night, you will have a mediated conversation with an immersive, adaptive AI interface designed to push your boundaries and put your social skills to the test.
How much control over your relational landscape are you willing to trade for convenience?
