A Family Day on the future of agriculture and land use
Cultivation, carrots, combine harvesters
A drone buzzes across the field, bees bumble between the fruit trees, a tractor hums in the background. There’s a lot going on in a field! However, agriculture is no longer limited to fields, pastures or orchards – we find it everywhere: in the greenhouse, in the laboratory, in the supermarket, in parliament, in the factory, in the city – and at Futurium.

In a nutshell, agriculture is an important part of our lives. On our Family Day, we want to tackle the topic together with you and ask exciting questions: what might the farm of the future look like? Which technologies will be applied in the future? How can we use our land sustainably? How can we feed everyone without harming nature? What superpowers does our soil possess and how do we protect them? And what happens when a microbe sets off on a journey?
Steer a tractor across future fields, discover the farmland of the future or listen to the story of a plucky microbe. Brand new exhibits, workshops, discussions, games, guided tours and much more await you. Whether young or old – there’s something for everyone in our colourful family programme. Drop by and discover the possible futures of agriculture and land use!
