Visiting regulations at a glance

Online registration: Visiting Futurium continues to be free of charge. However, visitors must register online in advance. Please note: Tickets are currently bookable max. 3 days in advance. If no days and time slots are selectable, they are already booked out. The length of the visit is limited to 90 minutes.

Requirement to wear a medical mask: Visitors must wear a medical mask.

Minimum distance regulations: Futurium allows 40 square metres of space per visitor. A maximum 115 visitors can be present in the building at any one time. Visitors must maintain a minimum distance of two metres between themselves and others. Visitors must not bundle together in groups.

Further safety measures: Visitors will be guided through the Futurium Lab in a one-way system. The security staff per area, and the frequency of cleaning of public areas, will be adapted to the pandemic situation. Lockers are in service, but access per aisle is limited to one person.

Until further notice, events and workshops will take place online. For the time being, there are no guided tours. You can find our digital offer here.

“One of the lessons we’ve learned from the corona pandemic is that our
society must focus more strongly on long-term thinking. The process of
finding answers to the main question addressed at Futurium – ‘How do we
want to live?’ – is something that continues to gain in importance.
We’re therefore pleased that our exhibition and the Futurium Lab will
finally be accessible again and hope they’ll inspire many visitors to
engage themselves with topics of the future. At the same time, our
digital programme will continue unchanged – as relevant as ever. Our new
digital video formats involving guided tours, events and workshops had
more than 1.1 million views in 2020 – a solid basis on which we plan to
build in the future,” says Dr Stefan Brandt, Director of Futurium.

We look forward to your visit. Stay healthy and take care of yourselves!
