Long Night of Museums

Let yourself be chauffeured by bus through Berlin at night and dropped off at Futurium for a visit: for the first time since our opening, we’re going to be part of the Long Night of Museums. Come along and experience a colourful programme – for families and visitors young and old. On the forecourt, we’ll be staging a living utopia of a mobility-friendly world for you. Join in and share your own views about travel – its joys, its prerequisites, and the privileges of global mobility.

The Long Night of Museums is organised in cooperation with Berliner Museen und Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH.

Tickets

• You will need a ticket to enter Futurium during the Long Night of Museums. It will be available for online booking from the beginning of August. Tickets will also be available at the Futurium box office on the day of the event.
• Our advice: buy your cheap ticket (“Sparticket”) for 12 euros (or 10 euros for reduced price admission) until 14 August. After that date, the ticket will cost 18 euros (or 12 euros for reduced price admission). Children up to 12 years don’t need a ticket.
• The “LNDM” ticket entitles you to visit all participating museums from 18:00 to 02:00.
• Special offers to keep you mobile: with your ticket you can use the two LNDM bus shuttle lines; on top of that, you’ll receive a 10 euro credit for the mobility app Jelbi, the mobility partner of the Long Night of Museums. Please note that this year, you will not be able to use your ticket on public transport.

Around the world in 180 seconds – and enjoying the sunset with a drink in your hand

Nomadism as an answer to climate change? A swirl of resources to counter waste? A global government for peaceful coexistence? Utopia is a space for ideal concepts. With drinks, food and good music, we’ll be taking you inside the walk-in world map and into a living utopia of the world of tomorrow. A project in collaboration with wamiki and the improvisational theatre group Improvisionäre.

Lightning Talks
5 Minutes of Future

While you’re here... Switch yourself into some short impulses for ideas on the major topics of the future or on individual exhibits on display at Futurium! Our exhibition guides with the glowing LED vests need only five minutes of your time to bring you closer to the future. Regular meeting point is near Pepper, the robot, in the exhibition.

Guided tours of the exhibition

Diving into the worlds of the future. Our exhibition presents different possible futures. Visitors can discover exciting options for the future in the Thinking Spaces Human, Nature and Technology. Our guided tours of the exhibition are aimed at all those who are curious. For children aged 6 to 12 we recommend the family tours.

Trends. Discovering and Shaping Futures

There are endless possibilities for imagining the future – what wishes, dreams and ideas do we have? What could make the world a better place? A flower drone? A solar-powered fortune machine? We’ll take a look into the future and discover how so-called “trends” influence and change the future. A talk with Dr Christian Engelbrecht, Futurium

Lasst euch mit dem Bus durch das nächtliche Berlin chauffieren und stattet dem Futurium einen Besuch ab: Zum ersten Mal seit unserer Eröffnung nehmen wir an der Langen Nacht der Museen teil. Kommt zu uns und erlebt ein buntes Programm – für Familien, Kinder und Erwachsene. Auf dem Vorplatz inszenieren wir für euch eine lebendige Utopie einer mobilitätsgerechten Welt. Spielt und tauscht euch aus über Reisefreude, Voraussetzungen und Privilegien für globale Beweglichkeit.

Die Lange Nacht der Museen findet statt in Kooperation mit der Berliner Museen und Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH.

Tickets

• Für den Zugang ins Futurium während der LNDM benötigt ihr ein Ticket. Das könnt ihr ab Anfang August online kaufen. Am Veranstaltungstag sind Tickets an der Abendkasse im Futurium erhältlich.
• Unser Tipp: Holt euch bis zum 14. August das Sparticket für 12 Euro / ermäßigt 10 Euro. Danach kostet das Ticket 18 Euro / ermäßigt 12 Euro. Kinder bis 12 Jahre benötigen kein Ticket.
• Das LNDM-Ticket berechtigt zum Besuch aller teilnehmenden Museen von 18 bis 2 Uhr.
• Mobilitätsangebote: Mit dem Ticket könnt ihr die beiden Busshuttles der LNDM nutzen und erhaltet außerdem ein 10-Euro-Guthaben für Jelbi, dem Mobilitätspartner der LNDM. In diesem Jahr gilt das Ticket nicht für die Nutzung des ÖPNV.

Lange Nacht der Museen – das heißt für euch: Late Opening im Futurium. Ausstellung und Lab sind am 27. August von 18 bis 2 Uhr nachts geöffnet. Und das könnt ihr erleben.

In 180 Sekunden um die Welt und mit einem Drink in der Hand dem Sonnenuntergang entgegen

Nomadentum als Antwort auf den Klimawandel? Ein Ressourcen-Strudel gegen Müll? Eine Weltregierung für das friedliche Zusammenleben? Utopie ist ein Raum für Idealvorstellungen. Bei Drinks, Speisen und guter Musik nehmen wir euch mit in die begehbare Weltkarte und in eine lebendige Utopie der Welt von morgen. Ein Projekt in Zusammenarbeit mit wamiki und den Improvisionären.

5 Minuten Zukunft

Wenn ihr schon mal da seid ... Holt euch kurze Impulse zu den großen Zukunftsthemen oder zu einzelnen Exponaten des Futuriums! Unsere Vermittler*innen in den leuchtenden LED-Westen bringen euch in 5 Minuten der Zukunft näher. Los geht’s regelmäßig bei Roboter Pepper in der Ausstellung.

Hinein in die Zukunftswelten. Unsere Ausstellung stellt unterschiedliche Zukünfte vor. Besucher*innen können in den Denkräumen Mensch, Natur und Technik spannende Zukunftsoptionen entdecken. Unsere Führung durch die Ausstellung richtet sich an alle Neugierigen. Für Kinder von 6 bis 12 Jahren empfehlen wir die Familienführungen.

Ein solarbetriebener Glücksautomat? Wir werfen einen Blick in die Zukunft und entdecken, wie sogenannte „Trends“ die Zukunft beeinflussen und verändern.
