Accompany our moderator Julian, known from the KiKA TV show “Checker Julian”, to a repair café. He just wants to drop something off for repair, but his visit turns out differently than expected. The device is missing an important component: gold!

The search for this valuable raw material will take you around the globe and along the supply chain right into a gold mine in Central Africa. Julian will be using virtual reality glasses to explore this natural treasure trove. Is there any material to be found here for his repair in Berlin?

Back at the repair café, you’ll ask yourselves important questions about the future such as: how well can mobile phones actually be repaired? What can a sustainable and fair economic cycle look like? How can technology help us with this? And what materials will be crucial in the future? Check it out!

Say hello to Julian! After the event, you can meet Julian in the foyer, ask him questions and take selfies.
