Drop-In workshop

Family Open Lab: Logistics of the Future

Every day, hordes of bicycle couriers and vans take to the streets of our city to deliver goods. Will self-driving vehicles take over this job in the future? What role will technology play in this regard? And what will our everyday lives look like with self-driving vehicles?

Workshop Futurium Lab

Further information:

  • Duration:5 hours

Junge Tüftler*innen/Education Innovation Lab

In this format, you can try it out for yourselves: interact with our Ozobots and Lego WeDos and learn how to control these robots. Use pens to draw a course and programme the Ozobots to follow your route. Build your own visions of mobility with Lego and then programme them with the help of WeDos. In a playful way, you’ll explore the mobility of the future and discover your own feelings about self-driving vehicles.

The drop-in format is open and differs from traditional workshops. Our plan is for you to spend around 20 minutes in the Lab to get your first taste of the technology and the topic of the future. If it’s particularly busy, it might be the case that not all participants are able to try out all the interactive points. So be flexible and take the opportunity to get involved in the exciting topics on offer!

This drop-in format is an “Open Roberta Project” in cooperation with the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft for the Promotion of Applied Sciences (Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V.) on behalf of the Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS.
