An evening of art and science for an inclusive society

This is the Sound of the Future

Art brings people together – across all possible borders. As a laboratory for new worlds, it invents images, stories and sounds that show what is possible. Experience an unusual evening in which art and science combine to point the way towards a diverse society.

What does a society feel like in which culture and science are shaped collectively? In which the most diverse types of people recognise themselves and thematic discourses reflect this diversity? Together with our guests, we’ll create the future vision of an inclusive society in theatrical performances, conversations and music. The successful Berlin rapper Graf Fidi will sing about partying, Berlin and living with disabilities – with a twinkle in his eye and a good portion of self-irony. 21 Downbeat, the house band of the RambaZamba Theatre, will be providing “boom and confetti”. Their boundary-defying electronic music will get your dancing feet twitching. The researchers of the research network “Inclusive Philology. Literary Disability Studies in German-Speaking Countries” will talk about how we think about disabilities and what we can learn from this for the future. They’ll also provide insights into the state of diversity in science.

A cooperation between the German Research Foundation network “Inclusive Philology” and Futurium. The German Research Foundation (DFG) is one of Futurium’s partner organisations.
