Energy from space
The sun never sets in space - and its power is much stronger than on earth. Why don't we produce our energy there?

The sun never sets in space - and its power is much stronger than on earth. We are already using solar energy in space to power satellites, for example. But why don't we produce much more energy up there to cover a large part of our needs on Earth? The idea is not new. But it is only with today's technologies that companies and space agencies are approaching a practical solution: huge solar satellites could generate energy in space and "beam" it from space 36,000 kilometres to earth.
