A fictional planet is under threat from a climate crisis. Four heroes and heroines set out to save it. Their mission is loaded withchallenging tasks and complex decisions. They have to fight againstenvironmental problems, divisions in society – and the ticking clock. Can theplayers convince the audience and win them over to their side? Nothing lessthan our common future is at stake.
Our game show “Democracy on Fire” is a new format forcommunicating politics that goes far beyond the boundaries of traditional talkshows. Teamwork and a willingness to compromise must be demonstrated here,because this is the only way to solve the current crises – from climate changeto social inequality. The guests are outstanding individuals from science,politics and civil society. As diverse as their skills may be – together theycan achieve just about anything. But without the audience’s support, the fourplayers are in trouble, because this support is crucial for the mission on thefictitious planet to succeed. Join us as we fire up democracy and save theworld!
