Results of the “Schalalalal!” campaign soon to be on display in an exhibition

Giant scarf handed over to sports museum

During the European Championships this summer, you sang into the “scarf-o-mat” at Futurium. This in turn turned your fan chants into a knitting pattern and created the longest fan scarf in Berlin. This has now been presented to the Sports Museum.

The scarf, which will be on display in the sports museum's new permanent exhibition, measures a full 64 meters. Veronika Springmann, the director of the sports museum, accepted the colorful fan scarf from Futurium director Stefan Brandt on Tuesday.

With more than 100,000 objects and a photo collection with around 1.5 million images, the Sportmuseum Berlin has the largest sports collection in Germany. The library contains around 37,000 volumes of sports history literature spanning three centuries, including all German sports association journals in East and West Germany from 1945/46 to 1989.
