#FUTURIUM EXHIBITION: THIRD THUMB

In Episode 4 Antja Karoli explains the Third Thumb.
This project engages with extensions of the body and our relationship to prostheses. The Plasticity Lab at University College London is currently taking the Third Thumb to the next level by making it usable for neuroscientific research. The researchers want to find out how the brain can adapt to physical changes, with the aim of improving the user-friendliness and controllability of prostheses.
Shortly after Futurium’s opening, Third Thumb creator Dani Clode visited Futurium and brought along a Third Thumb for the Futurium team to try out.
