People have been complaining about the increasing pace of daily life for over 200 years. And for good reason: the pace of life has in point of fact been constantly increasing. New technologies make it possible for us to accomplish more in less time. At the same time, the world around us is also changing rapidly. Politics, science or fashion: what yesterday was still valid has often long since become outdated. The acceleration of our lives is a phenomenon that is reflected as much in the small transactions of our daily lives as in the major trends of our society. What is the right tempo for a good life?
